Hi Tom, Do you think bringing scripts to cons to show editors/creators is worth while? Looking for avenues to show work short of cold calls/submission.

No, not at all.
In fact, no Marvel editor will take a script from you or listen to a pitch at a convention. We accept no unsolicited submissions whatsoever.
Look for industry conventions that have pitch meetings. It might not get someone a sit down with Marvel but it might get someone started. I’m not sure of any for comics, but they may exist. World Horror Con used to schedule pitch sessions with publishers that allowed authors to sit down, face to face with them.
